Voluntary Work in Brazil
ACCA works closely with the CIAME Project in Alto Vera Cruz, Belo
Horizonte, Brazil. CIAME - Centre for the Integration and Care of Children
and Teenagers - was founded in 1977 and is closely linked with the Secretary
of State's program for Social Development and Sport (SEDESE).
CIAME's objective it to provide an environment for the informal education of
children and teenagers in order to protect, defend rights, promote personal
development and social awareness, through the formation of responsible,
creative, independent and helpful citizens within society.
We provide a bridge to the program and offer an exchange whereby you can
teach a language, drama, music or any other transferrable skill and in
return, learn portuguese and practice capoeira. Email or call us for more
information on the exchange, accommodation and other ways in which we can
help you.
